I also need a hood and a passenger fender in zinno.
I would like a good black hood.
I have sort of a bad silver one im going to repaint.
I painted this one with rustoleum regal red and might do the hood.
just for now when I fin a junkyard one ill switch
I also need the bottom trip all the way across that side.
I found tons of red cars in picknpulls in portland. They just say red they dont say which red. So I found henna brilliant and zino
Every zino one I found was passenger side collision. I mean dont get me wrong, if it werent they would just be gone in the first few days.Last edited by stamar; 03-05-2012, 12:21 PM.Comment

Ya Im moving to portland and lived there last year.
Ya Ill go ahead and post where ever I want when ever I want and I might ask your permission about posting in a thread you started never.
Is that cool with you lol thanks
I gave you or more importantly other people looking for body parts worthwhile advice about the subject.
You know, car forum stuff. when I was in portland I went ahead and did a passenger side zinno fender and hood search at the 4 picknpulls.
That might not be interesting to you, but if its not its cause your head is to far up your butt. Im positive its interesting to someone else in the portland area so I shared it.
your first line is the 4 area picknpulls. way farther down worry about posting in a forum where people talk about cars. Not op, I mean im communicating with people looking for body parts.
edit im jacking a car forum thread by explaining to the moron how to look for car parts in a certain color. RIGHT.Last edited by stamar; 03-05-2012, 01:14 PM.Comment

Nobody else noticed he has a vert? Your search is going to be that much harder dude.Comment

ya actually the fender it came with is not a vert fender.
So that one I painted red is not a vert fender.
There is no difference really, just the bottom inch.
Regular fenders go better on a vert than vert fenders go on a regular car, but either are pretty much totally un noticeable.
That is a different subject. But I know a lot of people have brain lock on it because they havent seen both fenders. If you found a vert fender for your car, it would be way easier to actually cut the bottom of it down than to wait to find a non vert fender.
If you have a vert, put a non very fender on no one will notice ever. At the very least dont pass one up in the right color.
At the very very least educate yourself about what the difference is.
I think thats very pertinant info to the op or people in the same situation. The truth is though, you wont find a vert in a junkyard ever anyway.Comment

No you dont need a vert specific fender abe.
For a perfect match you do but if you have a mismatched fender in color I think a regular fender in the right color is a good 2nd choice.
Theres really no way you could tell the difference at all. The shape is the same it bolts right up.
I would put a non vert fender in the right color on my car in a second, it already has one it came with one
The one my car came with, the one i painted in that picture
Is a non vert fender
the difference is only in the bottom inch of the fender, the area where its connected next to the door. IF you were going to reproduce the undercoating it would be 100% the same no way to tell the difference without going under the car.
I have both fenders on my car obviously, took them off to compare.
I dont want to be rude to anyone Im just being rude back. The truth is I just want to share information. I love you all.
Do you have a convertible? Have you looked at a convertible fender and a non convertible fender? I do I have them both.
I tried to also share that rustoleum red is about the same as zinnoberrot. So people looking in this thread for zinno parts or brainstorming could look into that. Id rather have a factory fender and will switch when I find one. That was just an experiment. I also have that mtech thing to paint so I went for the painting myself route because i already had to.
Im not personally looking for any body parts I figured out what Im doing months ago lol Im just sharing worthwhile info for people who are. Love to hear other peoples info to. When I get back to portland Im going to check out the e30s in the junkyards probably once a month again.
Im not going to argue with anyone in fact Im pretty sure I got all the info out. I just saw, zinno hood and fender, portland. Well what a coincidence Im positive I can share some good info. Im positive I did too lol.Last edited by stamar; 03-05-2012, 01:55 PM.Comment

That's fine, I'm glad you can jerry-rig your car and all just don't thread jack then be a dick about it.Comment

I guess I mean I didnt put that fender on there the op did. I didnt know it was a non convertible fender til I repainted it last month.
They jerry rigged it. Those jerks!
this car had a passenger side collision so new fender and hood.
Well I certainly wouldnt look for a convertible fender in the wrong color to replace my non convertible fender in the wrong color.
The color is the most important variable if you are looking for looks. The convertible part, not so important.
at least it helped me avoid barriers in my mind about fenders. I already knew the story before I started.Last edited by stamar; 03-05-2012, 02:20 PM.Comment
