Visiting portland again in 3 weeks

I was up there in the summer and it was awesome - now I'm going back to see if I can live with the winters there. After this trip I'll be looking for jobs more seriously.

So uhh...what is there to do in the winter? I'll be there for 5 days - thought I may drive up to seattle and check it out. Also, what is a good place to snowboard and how much does it cost for a lift pass and rental gear? I've only been once and would love to have at it again.

Basically, what do you guys do in the winter?

I'll be there from the 10th to the 16th.

The greatest honor an e36 could ever have... to be parted out and have its parts used in an e30.

MT Hood is close to Portland. A ticket is probably around $60 +/- $10.

Yeah. Hood is closest. If you're a beginner, go to Ski Bowl. It's the cheapest, and the lower bowl area is great for beginners. It's not as fancy as Meadows or Timberline, but unless you're experienced and can really utilize and appreciate the entire area, Ski Bowl is your best bang for the buck.

              Winter activities:
              snowboarding
              Brew pubs
              Cocktail bars
              Blazer games
              Strip clubs
              Good restaurants

The days are shorter and it's raining most of the time. People usually transition to indoor activities.

Dude. Mary's, Cabaret, and Magic Garden blow. Some of them probably literally, but they're dumps.
Go to Casa on Saturday night. You'll see some shit. I swear they modeled the strip club on From Dusk til Dawn after it.
Hit up Devil's Point on Sunday night. Stripparaoke... You belt out metal ballads on stage with them. It's awesome. If you're brave enough, hit up Dante's past 11pm on Sunday night for the Sinferno Burlesque and Variety show. It's indescribable.

I just cannot wrap my mind around a vegan strip club.

                      hahahahaha
I guess they have vegan food or something. It doesn't take more than 30 seconds inside the place to rule out everything but alcohol. I've literally never seen anybody eat there.

Acrop is the strip joint I'll eat at. It's hard to turn down an $8 T-Bone. And you're never the only creep show eating dinner five feet from the rack LOL.

Oh yeah, Turf, go to the Acrop.

The one at Zupan's where the customer forgets his cloth shopping bag is hilarious.
"Sorry, I forgot my bag. Can I get a paper one?"
"What? No. We don't have any."

Fortunately I won't be making the 24+ hour drive from Houston. I'll surely have some crappy rental.
