Steven gets all the credit for finding it. I only get credit for being patient and not buying any of the many crap verts I looked at before this one.

Price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. I repeat: price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. That's Vagiclean. We've got a customer down here with a full-on fallopian fungus. I'm baking a loaf of bread and I think it's sourdough.

It is a gem. Such a good base to build off of!

It had elips on it already. Needs better bulbs though.

I'm still so amazed at how rigid and tight this car drives. I always expected to really feel the flex that convertibles are famous for. I don't feel it at all. This thing is built like a tank!

First thing I did this morning was put on warm clothes, grabbed a stack of CD's (packed away from the old days), put the top down and drove about 200 miles through some county roads.

What a way to start the day! :)

Man, it's crazy what late model bumpers/valences do for the looks of these things. Great pick up man, it is pretty rare to find an e30 in that kind of condition nowadays.

There is only two scenarios in which I'll buy another e30... it either must be low mileage and very well taken care of like this one, or it must be a complete rebuild. And if I'm going to do a complete rebuild it'll probably be on a more valuable car so the latter isn't likely unless its an m3.

I'm jealous of the condition of your starting point. Now get to work on it.

Work should be started soon. I may have a 5 spd donor car dropped off tomorrow if everything goes according to plan.

It also might end up donating it's ETA for my E21. Double bonus!

for me the cowl shake on my vert got more so when I switched to springs, biily sports, etc etc. what really helped,
                            1) I put on a strut brace, even though they are stiffer than the sedans, ( extra weld bracket to body). that helped some.
                            .........months later.I added......
                            2) after lowering I had to getr rid of the lip ( or the road and speed bumps would) and put a skid shield on, the skid shield really tightened up the front. Many put on a cross brace and not skid shield but fromj what I ws told the corss brace hangs lower, dont know if true, I could not have anything hanging any lower. as it is. I think that helped the most, the skid shield.

and yes plastic bumpers, euro trim, or smoked side lights, lower valance and factory fogs make a big diff in the looks of these cars

a not so bad fix for the third brake light is remove it, adn at a hardware store get white plugs, or plugs and paint them white. yes it looks a little crappy. My vert had some god awful aftermarket spoiler/wing that was wider than the car , it was one fo the first things to go on the car. pulled it and the 3rd brake and plugged em with black plugs. like I said. looks funky, but then I jst remeber what it looked like with the big wing. some day the correct trunk lid wiht IS spoiler will go on.

I guess the only thing that bugged me wiht your first post was the last line where you say......."profit"
are you just planning to fix/mod and sell ???? if so I dont think all the time and money in those mods are worth it just to flip it ( well except the 5 speed swap)

Im riding a 91 vert, tripple black

The "profit" is a meme used to hint as a series of changes creating positive change. Profit doesn't alway apply to money. Although, I'm sure that without doing a single thing to this car I could easily sell it for twice as much as I paid for it. But, that's pointless since I don't plan on selling it.

Just plugging to holes on the trunk to me is a half assed way of doing things. I'll find a non vert trunk easy enough.

I also do plan on doing anything to further brace the car. It feels good enough as is.

at least its going to someone who takes care of their cars, and does not wreck them :)
