Part out or sell my car?

Hey guys, I've got a bit of a problem. I just bought my first e30 two weeks ago and it turns out it was in a major collision at some point in its life and the frame is bent (front passenger rail). It's a March '87 325iS, Alpine on Cardinal with 196000 miles.

I just changed out the rear wheel bearings before taking it into a shop to look at the frame. The shop said that it would be fine as a daily driver but I want to do autocrossing and maybe a motor swap down the road. Should I try to part it out or do you guys think I'd get more if I were to sell it as a whole to someone as a daily driver?

sell it as a whole but then again i guess my question would be how much did you pay for it as you may or may not get your monies back with that said what is your asking price

I got it for $3200 with the new wheel bearings included along with another fender for the one that is fucked up.

@Rufflz, I want to keep it but it won't ever perform the way I would want it to while driving

Whew good luck getting your money back parting it out or selling it again think your better keeping as a daily or accepting a loss

I can get pictures tomorrow when it's light out. The seams along the frame rail are all warped and the whole rail is pushed in.

I'd love to keep the car but it isn't really safe to autox it I don't think. I'm fine taking a loss, I'm just not sure how to minimize the loss.

Austin pics wouldn't really help the case as no one should have paid that much for the car with a fucked rail salvage title

It doesn't have a salvage title, I didn't even know it was messed up till I put it on jackstands. I chose not to get the PPE and got bit in the ass pretty hard

Rather be out $100 for a PPI and not buy the car, then to buy it and be out $2200 now. Sucks, but it's part of life.

Have this be a lesson learned when car shopping dude sorry bout your fucked up deal but parting it out in this case will net you the most monies
