Look what I got to wake up to the other day.

So I got up super early last Saturday to see this on my way to the airport.

Thinking of having the whole car repainted. It has a few dings here and there, so thought I'd put the insurance dough to make it all perfect.

Insurance will total that, I wouldn't bother using them if you want to keep the car

Where did you park the car outside at the lot? Someone might have had a quickie and rushed out in the dark when he saw security patrol or something?

My e30 was hit in the same exact spot. They totaled it.

Who cares if they total it.... These cars aren't worth much anyway.

Take the money, buy it back, and fix it. Problem solved.

Wasn't nearly enough damage to total it.

I park it at my building on Alki. The spots are assigned, but the person associated with the spot next to mine recently moved out. Consequently, a$$hats from the crappy bar next door have been parking there late at night. I've been on the lookout for a red car with some black stripes on their bumper.

So, I have "diminished value" coverage, but I have to prove that the accident has diminished the value of the car. KBB says the the cart with its' mileage is worth around $6k. That actually surprised me. Anyway, given that it had no accidents previously, I would think that its' "originalness" contributed to the premium value of the car and now its gone.
