Fellow R3v folk i need some sage advice,
So my car is an 84' eta, or it was, i guess. Im am just finishing up acquiring the very last pieces before the motor ('89) is ready to go back in.
My question is this: Does anyone think it's a good idea to replace the entire body harness, from break lights to head lights, before i put the motor in?
The reason i ask is that the current one shows signs of PO tampering, bullet connectors and such. Also, there are some quirks iirc with the 84 and 85 and how the gauge cluster gets it's info to display properly. The last thing i want is to get everything all buttoned up and then be chasing electrical gremlins for the rest of time. What i would need, if this seems like a decent way to go, is an 86 or 87 early model e or i harness that has the round connector. I have no idea how much these go for, or if this is practical/feasible, which is where you all come in, enlighten me oh lords of the e30!
Thanks in advance,
-Kevin
