    Installing hids

So I have an 85 325, and the headlights have a sealed beam on the back, so I was wondering what's the best way to go about getting Hids on my car. I don't have too much cash to spend either, so it would be great to hear an inexpensive option.

upgrade to ellipsoids first, it'll be much better lighting than the sealed beams.

do NOT put HIDs behind your existing setup. you'll be throwing glare all over the place.

You can't put hids in a sealed beam setup...

Get US ellips. They utilize 9006 low beam bulbs, so you will need 9006 hids and the female connectors to take place of your h4 connections

If you really want HID's do as the people above said, but if you're just looking to improve your light output, a cheap and easy option is to get some H4 buckets and put a good set of bulbs in them. Check out daniel stern lighting for some nice bulbs, as far as the buckets, he sells those also, but there was some site selling them for vw busses for a better price. All of this is plug and play with your existing setup.
