Hey R3V, this weekend will be our first official party. This is not GASFest, but we will likely have a vat of Baked Beans ready.
This Saturday, April 14, starts anytime after 10:00AM. We want to see everyone gone by 5:00ish Sunday...like we said, bring a tent. plenty of grass, plenty of space for sleeping bags in the house, too. If you plan on drinking, please plan on staying.
This will be a "potluck" style thing, so please bring something to grill, some kind of snack and whatever you want to drink. Or whatever you want us to drink, and something to share.
We do have a bit of an agenda for the weekend.
First is Tech Time, we will be installing on a couple of cars, both DIY and "lets all watch the old man work on stuff", always good for a laugh, right?
BTW, we have room for a couple more small-ish jobs, contact me if you want stuff done. Don't be thinking anything is free, even DIY costs
Second is drive/photo shoot, where we plan a route and drop photographers off to get good rolling shots. The scenery here is spectacular, should be easy to get truly awesome shots.
Yes, there is plenty of room for washing your car. We are on well water, so no worries about water usage.
Third is questionable. We need to have a proper campfire, there is plenty of room, but there is not a whole bunch of wood. Please bring wood if you can.
We need stuff like badminton, croquet, volleyball or other outdoor activities, so bring it if you have it. We have plenty of space for Archery too, but have zero equipment, not even a backstop. We certainly can make something though, but if you have one you can bring, please do so.
ATTENTION: Firearms/weapons will be present and in use ONLY until the drinking starts. I will play "Marshall" and zero booze will be consumed by you if you plan on firing a weapon. I will confiscate all weapons at sundown, just so we are clear.
We will be firing up the grill roughly 2:00 or so, but it is a small grill, so food will be cooked in rotation. plan accordingly, snack heavily!
This should be a fun time, feel free to bring children, but we ask you to mind your children carefully: this is a business and we are in no way "childproof".
the address is:
German Audio Specialties
123 Cherry Lane
Chehalis, WA 98532
Please keep in mind that your GPS will lose data if you are on any other service besides AT&T:, please prepare your directions ahead of time.
The route we HIGHLY recommend you follow to get here is:
Exit 77 from I-5, travel west (over the freeway if you were headed North) and take an IMMEDIATE left onto SW Riverside Dr.
The road will be a 25 MPH limit, we follow that speed carefully.
The road changes names several times: first, it is Riverside, then becomes Newaukum road, then it becomes Shorey road. You will cross hwy 603 (your GPS will tell you to turn: head towards the Grange!) and the road becomes Brown road, then further along it becomes Berry Road...then take a left onto Cherry, and a left into our driveway.
Whatever you do, STAY ON THAT ROAD!
Follow that road until you take a left onto Cherry Lane.
We will hope to see you here!
Luke, Justin and Nigel
