Anyone in Eugene want to help with an M42 project next week?

I posted a couple of weeks ago about this. This will by far be the most I've ever taken my engine apart. I'm doing a timing refresh, dropping the lower oil pan, fixing the mess under the intake, and installing an electric fan. I'm a total n00b at auto work, so I feel like it might be handy to have an extra set of hands. I'm off work next week so I'll be working til I finish, but will probably get started over the weekend, and hope to take it slow, learn as I go, and get it finished over the course of a couple of days.

So, anyone who has experience with M42s and a few hours to spare, I'll buy you some beer for your time. Also, if anyone in the area has a cam lock tool I can borrow, even if you can't lend a hand, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks a lot.

So, what's the best way to break the crank bolt? I was probably planning on trying a dead blow on a breaker bar first, then BP's technique included in his writeup here Don't have a compressor. An other ideas?

I put the car into 5 gear and put the hand brake on.

Now I did not have the flywheel locked in at this point yet. I was actaully about 90 degrees out. Cos there is play I was able to to turn the bolt enought to lock the flywheel in. This created enought opposite tension that I did not have to worry about the flywheel lock pin breaking. Then I a got a big breaker bar and a BFH and went crazy.

Did you get this resolved? I have a compressor and an 1/2" impact. Let me know, I will totally bring it over for a 6-pack of Andersen Valley Summer Solstice. :)

^ Any chance you've got a cam lock tool, too? :) I think an impact might make the job a lot easier. PM me your number.
