On the high end, Aurora Autowrecking have three M20b25 engines right now. $750 each. Was looking for one for a PRO3 car.

@Lance, though if the compression is good, and they warranty them to not be rattlin' rod bearings..etc, then $750 ain't bad. There's a long discussion on the Spec E30 site about cost of good used short block vs building or buying a rebuilt. Some say that the rebuilt motors are never as good as the factor assembled OG's..

Having just rebuilt my own, $750 is beginning to be a good option if this one dies this season..

Aurora Autowrecking have a 90 day warranty on their engines. I assume the warranty is for street car use only.

Thanks Lance. I just called them and they don't have any 2.7L blocks which is what I'm looking for I've decided.

I've got a couple 885 heads to play with, just looking for a 2.7L block.
