    doing plastic bumpers convertion!

picked up some plastic bumpers and front valance from vancouver, the guy was very nice and made me good deal. gonna swap the bumpers on my 84 e30 alpine. :D:D:D

people who've done it before, any helpful tips would be apreciated.

also need the middle trim part for the rear bumper and fog lights, if anyone has some for sale please let me know.

    Thanks.

Don't worry vlad, it's not you.

For your plastic bumper swap you need to modify them to fit, and it will never look perfect, euro bumpers work though.

Of course we are still friends. You are like my Latino second cousin. I keep forgetting about the bumper. I'll pick it up next week.

OP, the front valance and bumper is a direct replacement as long as you also use the late model bumper shocks. Its just unbolt replace and bolt back on.

The rear bumper will need to be shortened slightly.
Ghetto way is to trim the edge where it sticks into the rear wheelwell.
Better way is to cut out a section of the bumper and join the nice finished end back on.
You'll need the late model shocks in the rear also.

But keep in mind the rear will look slightly unfinished due to the early cars not having a metal valance beneath the bumper.
Most guys live with it although some cover up the area with a plastic or fiberglass aftermarket rear valance under the bumper.

The more adventurous cut out a late model metal valance froma late model car and rivet/screw/weld it to the early car.
