Go with the M42.. sure, it don't have the same bottom end grunt as an M20, but better mileage, and it is a new motor..

I have a M20B23. Blows the doors off an M10. And for only $200.

More power than an ETA, not as much as a 2.5l

If it doesn't sell, it's going to replace the M10 in my E21. It's originally a E21 323i engine pulled from a 323i that got a 2.5l plopped in to replace it. I started out wanting to turn my 320i into a 323i clone, but am rethinking that.
