Honestly I need a mac, I will have my own business so it IS a necessity, i NEED to be able to work on things and keep on track. not like i'm trying to buy a gaming hd 20" blah blah bs (basic 13" STARTS at 1200), I need money for more books and terms at school ( unless you guys enjoyed the loan forgiveness thread) etc etc. The car is super clean and like I said i'm willing to work a deal with a r3v member.
Someone wanna buy my e30?

I am not completely dogging on forums since they have helped bring attention to cars that would have been lost to time, or even worse sent to the crusher, but sometimes we have to think that not EVERY car is a gold mine, and perhaps it's just better to pass it along without worrying so much about undervaluing it.

I call bullshit. Lots of people who appreciate these cars that don't belong to forums. While they do make a cheap first car, a clean, unmolested car is definitely worth something.
Again, I call bullshit. I don't like paying out the ass for things, but a good car is worth a certain amount. A good running, non-shitbox E30 is definitely worth in the area of $2,000 (+/- depending on condition.) A shitbox with body damage etc is probably worth $500-$1,000.
I don't believe every car is a gold mine. There are lots of cars out there that are pieces of shit that are worth their weight in scrap (or more as parts.) A clean, well sorted, get in and go E30 (that literally needs nothing,) is most certainly worth $3000. It's the car I would've bought when I was first looking for E30's!Comment

It's all good, everyone has their personal opinions. I am not completely disagreeing with you. A super clean E30 that as you put "get in and go" is probably going to be worth $3000. But the instant you start removing from that the price should be less.. Recent Craigslist ads have been a bit inflated on the pricing. If the car has rips and tears in the interior, dings and dents and an electric window that won't roll down, then can we not agree that it should be half the price of your $3000 clean model?1991 325i MT2 Touring (JDM bro)

My car is get in and go, its not a show room car, its a daily driver e30. i'm not asking 8k or some astronomical number. I'm asking a decent(obo) price for a good car. I've said i'm willing to deal with the community because I like the community and I support it. I've probably given away more parts then I can count to help out members here. If you are interested call me up, come look at it; if not why are you even posting here?Last edited by Slidewayzz; 05-09-2012, 01:21 PM.Comment

because it's an open forum, if you didn't want outside comments, then post in the For Sale section (there is rules there about thread crapping)..
I was actually going to complement on the pricing and if your car is that clean, then yes indeed it is a fair price.1991 325i MT2 Touring (JDM bro)
