I'm going to swap to plastic bumpers on my early 88 325. So if someone has alot of experience with it can help, I'm willing to pay. I know it's more work than the later model ones. Please let me know.

If the car is an '88, it's not difficult at all. You just need the bumper brackets (the things the bumpers slide on to) from the plastic bumper car, as well as the f/r shocks. It's a bolt-on, no modification upgrade on '88 model year cars.'70 911s | '72 2002 | '88 M5 | '89 330is | '89 M3 | '95 911 | '02 M5 | '04 RR HSE

Oh, I've read that by the ETK, the weights are very close. Could have been an old thread with bad math, and, I don't read much in the PRO3 subforum.Comment

If it has big tails with late valances, then it is an '88 car and is easy to retrofit the plastic bumpers. If it's a small tailed car, the conversion is a little more in depth.'70 911s | '72 2002 | '88 M5 | '89 330is | '89 M3 | '95 911 | '02 M5 | '04 RR HSE
