Wooden shift knobs

I have been handmaking some wooden shift knobs for friends and wanted to see if there is any interest here. If enough people are interested I was going to start producing more and making a website.

Let me know if you want a specific design/wood, I can pretty much do anything.

I haven't thought a lot about prices yet but I've done some searching and the only website I can find is a bit pricey for some of the nicer hardwoods at around $150-$200 a knob. I was thinking quite a bit less than that.

This almost looks like the 9kracing's shift knobs... They're huge and look like dildoes. Link below.
If you make them a bit smaller and have a decent price, I'm in.

i would be interested in the shortest possible make, with a little bit more convex on top.
not 180* but something more natural feeling... maybe like 120* or so.


only if the price is good :) what are you doing for inserts? i need to get my hands on a lathe....

I can make them however you guys like, I just happen to make a dildo for a friend because that's what he wanted. I'll post some more pics soon of different ones. As far as inserts go I haven't really decided on something absolute, at least for BMW's. For honda/sub/miata etc I was just going to order threaded shift knob inserts.

Could you make round ones or oem bmw shaped ones? With a cutout for the 5spd logo.

Also better pics would help. Take it in the light so we can see the color. Discount if we provide wood?

I may also be interested in this too. I have a wood Nardi. And like Pantless, I want one that'll sit as low as possible. Not sure what he was talking about with the angles though, I didn't pay attention to that part.
