    Cheap paint job around here?

Anyone know of a place that does decent paint jobs at a cheap price? Something like that guy down in NorCal that does $500 paint jobs. Not Macco, because thats just crap, but just a place that could paint it for me if I did all the prep work, like sanding and priming.

You realise that If you do all you own prep work macco is the best place to go right? They spray more cars then anyone else, and If you tip the spray guy before hand it will look good as long as your prep work isn't shit.

You can also look into renting a heated paint booth for a day.

2 inches? What kind of tipping are we talking about here... I'm confused.

Quality materials cost about twice that so don't expect much for $500.

                    x2.

Cheap, paint job, and quality aren't usually words that relate. To help save on cost, I'd suggest doing your own prep work, but I'd still count on paying double what you're wanting to spend. $500 can get your bumpers resprayed, but not a whole car.

I can show you my car, $1000 got a few dents popped, paint, and a clearcoat. It went from this:

                        To this:

I don't have any good photos post-paint job actually. If you want to come by and check out the car though, I'd be happy to show it to you.

My son prepped an old VW bug, and we took it to the Maaco in downtown Seattle off Mercer Street. They looked over the car, said they would not have to do anything to prep it, and did a base coat/clear coat for $765 including taxes, etc.
                          The car looks brand new!
