I picked up this car, thinking it might make a decent daily driver while my sedan gets a heart transplant in the near future, but I need to sell it.
Car is a 04/1986 325es with 157k miles. Schwarz on black interior. 5 speed manual transmission. Recent timing belt and water pump done at 154k miles. Super, super clean black vinyl interior. S2.93 final drive (locks up well.) Crack free dash. Bav auto springs with Bilstein sport rear shocks (has a nice stance.) 15x7.5 Borbet type c wheels that have good tires on them. iS front air dam. Working air conditioning (could benefit from a recharge, however.)
Needs a few little things. One of the ball joints on the passenger side control arm has worn out and causes the wheel to vibrate at freeway speeds. Needs a hood latch and cable installed (old one broke off, but is still there, I have new latch and cable ready to install.) Could also use an ignition tune up-- cap/rotor, plugs/wires, as well as a valve adjustment.
Car has a salvage title due to a front end collision at some point in its life. I put it on the lift and inspected it pretty thoroughly and saw no structural damage. It has some scratches and dents-- cosmetic blemishes -- it is an old car, so if you are expecting to see a garage queen, this car is not for you. It would make an awesome little daily driver with a little work. It is a little dusty from sitting. Not a big deal, but it looks a little dirty in the pictures. I apologize for that.
It is a 26 year old car and is priced as such. $1500 with the Borbet wheels or $1200 without, and you will need to supply your own wheels.
