    cheap or free parts?

Im in the mood to make car part furniture for my room. First off is a crankshaft side table.

Pick n pull charges a small fortune for anything bigger then a screw.

Does anyone know where i can pick up a 6cyl crank, flywheel, and clutch/brake rotor for reasonable cash.

You can come get the old rotors that come off the F250, they are huge

^ What craze said, or ask them if they have another one come in to have the owner call you. Or perhaps visit a local independent BMW shop? They're bound to have dead stuff too.

I dont nesscessarily want dead stuff. But I dont need new. I was just going to take used parts and drop them in clr and see if I can get them to look new. But im not paying 100$+ for a crank at a salvage yard.

Also, what can I make a bottlecap into?

I have a front subframe with control arms you can have. The sway bar tabs are broken off.

A dead crank is still usable as a table stand. Unless you've got something very particular in mind, I can't imagine that the "stand's" journals require accuracy above 20 thousands.
