Sup R3v? I'm moving to Seattle.

what's up r3v? I am going to school out in Seattle and planning to move out to the Puget Sound area permanently. I have an 89 325i that I have been working on for a while. I want to bring it out West but right now it is still apart. I want to meet fellow e30 enthusiasts once I get out there. School me on the e30 PNW scene. Where are there good meets, preferably in Seattle..? What track events do you guys attend? Does anybody Hike, Snowboard, ride bikes, kayak, etc? I'm just looking to meet some like minded people and make some connections. Hopefully I'll have my car out there soon...

Once I bring the Zinno out, I will be looking for storage space. I would love to be able to find space to store my car with another BMW enthusiast. I only need a small space for the car and a few tools. If anyone has space available, let me know. I am sure we can work something out. The ideal situation would be to find a space in a garage/ old barn/ warehouse. I don't wanna leave my baby out in the elements:( lol It doesn't have to be in Seattle. I would love to keep it out on the Peninsula or something... Take the ferry out to the car..

I am looking forward to coming out! I wish I could have made the Picnic this year..

    Dont feel like reading?

Well its a big expensive scene ATM. Prices are inflated on E30s and their parts so steals are hard to find. But on the events side there is a LOT of stuff to do. There are 3+ events already scheduled this month. And the E30 picnic which you missed this year is always fun.

I dont know about the others but I hate hiking haha, im looking to get into mountain biking though. Trail biking for now. Mt baker, Raineer, and Hood are always nice to visit. Port Townsend, Friday harbor, or the olympic peninsula always make a good day trip.

So now my question, where exactly are you moving too? North or South of Seattle.

.orth has a meet every Tuesday at dicks. And I think south meets somewhere... On Wednesdays? Idk, they could tell you.

Welcome to the most boring weather state in the us. Dont worry, thats a good thing.

      Thanks man!

I'll be in North Seattle, The U District for the time being. Might venture away from that neighborhood further down the road. I've been up to Mt. Baker and it was just nuts! I also spent a day in Port Townsend, also very beautiful!

Mountain Biking is cool, I just don't really have the $$ for a nice bike. I would want to ride freeride/downhill stuff. I have a BMX bike. I'm not that good but it's always fun. I also have an old Peugeot track bike that I will probably ride around the city..

Break them down and ship only the frames. Then put the small parts in a box and assemble out here. Or when you drive your stuff out just take it lol.

I'm assuming you are talking to me here. Yes, I ride a 2011 Specialized Dolce Elite. I am pretty serious about it with long distance. However I don't race, but I do have a Specialized jersey. By the way, I'm a girl. lol

Commuting by bike is a good goal especially in Seattle. Just be prepared to have "Close calls" lol. Between my daily driver and my bike, my E30 never gets to go out and play... Lol

No worries, happens all the time. lol
