need to use a drive way in seattle

Hey guys came up to seattle to look for jobs this weekend and as soon as I get here I get a knock from my driveline. Popped my head under the car and guibo looks fine some bolts could use tightening there is fluid around the tranny always leaks a little. Just wanting to use someones drive way and possibly some jack stands to pull the guibo off and see if I can limp her home.

A bad driveline will wear out csb's.

Might take you up on that offer. I think I'm just going to roll it home.

Pretty much why waste time pulling off heat shields to see the csb is wearing and have to drive it home anyway.

your U joint might be bad, throwing the whole shaft into a weird rotation and putting extra force on the CSB. (weird angle)

The drive shaft is new and built by a shop the previous owner bought it. I called the shop today and he said bring it down and he will see whats wrong. Problem is the shops a hour and a half away.

Yeah if its to much I'm just gonna throw it in the car drive it and look for a new one. I thinking maybe I need to space the csb down?

Did you preload it? you have to push the csb towards the front of the car and then tighten it.
