Was offered a ridiculously low price for the wheels I'm selling. About 1/4 of their worth and I just burst out laughing. Go pound sand buddy.

So out of curiosity, I wanted to hear other dealings in lowballers during sales, some can be pretty ridiculous. Please share

I offered to give a few items to a r3v'er for free. He then wanted me to deliver them because gas cost to much for him to drive out and get them. Proceeded to get all pissy when I said no.

What about people asking to much for junk? Aurora auto salvage is certain that the spoke sport wheels sell for $90... And that mtech 1 wheels are the same as normal the spokes. And that bottle caps are 100$ each. And huscos are $150+ in poor condition...

Its dumb that they are the only place with E30s. They have like 12 last time I was there.

I too was selling a set of wheels, Got a low offer that was ridiculous and the guy proceeded to tell me he could pick them up Now, as if that would help his offer.

I know us E30 owners can be cheap, but he sounds like he's a real winner in that category

i low ball like crazy, and it pays off.

examples, slicktop 318 i totalled, guy wanted 1500, offered 650 and got it for 700
snapon metric wrench set, tool guy said 350, offered him 200 cash and got it for 250
matco long handle ratcheting wrenches, tool guy said 220, offered 100 cash and got them at 170
went to the deli today, my order was 15. and change, offered ten bucks and a swig of my vodka, the dude said sure and we had a deal.

see, its the barter system, you offer low and anticipate a counter offer.

I had my 6 fs on the cl for about 3 months before I took it off. I got offered a pistol, WWII colt 1911. After that, I took the car off, never to sell again.

                            What's a WWII 1911 worth?

Posted an iS trunk spoiler on CL a few weeks back for $40. Some fucking cock sucker thought it would be ok to text me at 4:30 and offer me $15 for it. Needless to say, I didn't respond.

Then, a couple nights later, he starts blowing up my phone with "not even gonna respond" texts, to which I replied "you texted me at 4:30 in the fucking morning, offering me like half of my asking price...did you REALLY expect a response?" He was like "well you coulda at least responded man." So my response was "well, ok then...here's my response...fuck you, no, i won't take $15!"

                              Some people's kids...blows my mind.
