Are you sure the scrap yards won't take it? Cause the ones around here have you fill out a bunch of paper work and pay you a little less then normal for it if it don't have a title.

My friend's car has been at my house for 1.5 years because he kept losing the title and couldn't sell it to a junkyard. Since I can't get a hold of him, what is my best option for getting rid of a car that neither he, nor I have the title for? It's a POS '87 Subaru GL that is probably too far gone to be worth anything, I just want it off my property, no money.

Can I just have a towing company take it away?
