    Local paint shop options

Can anyone here recommend a shop/person who would be reputable to do a basic paint job? Not looking for concours - just something decent that isn't faded red.

Chris Woods at Rhom Innovations does good work for a reasonable price. Might PM him. "Mafiaracers" on here.

Ian Stokes of Stokes Custom Auto. Painted the backend of my trans am after it rolled into a neighbors house.

Also, depending on condition of your paint, it could be savable. Thought about sending it to a (knowledgeable) detailer?

If you can bring it to Cascade Cars and Coffee Portland on Saturday, I can tell you if myself or another detailer can work some magic.

I assure you this will not buff out...

I might try to bring it one of these days, but the bad paint job has kept the car in the garage for a few years. I went to the cascade cars and coffee maybe 6 weeks/2 months ago with a different car for a little bit but didn't see many BMW's or any e30's.

                  Is there actual clearcoat failure?

As of right now it is going to be dry, so that means ol' leaky top can get out of the garage as well.

I believe that sanding the paint down on the trunk and a rear quarter classifies as clear coat failure......

Probably can't make it this weekend but ill charge it up this week just to have it ready for when I can - or for when it can make it to a paint shop!
