Shop in Seattle area to repair rust hole

I've got a '91 318i with a small rust hole between the windshield and the vent-thing near the windshield wipers. I am looking for a shop that would be able to repair the hole (cut off rust and fabricate a cover to weld in place).

Can anyone recommend a shop in Seattle area?

    Thanks.

Try Haurys in lake city. They do fantastic work.

They quoted me $854+tax (adding up to $935). I was ready to pay something in $500 ballpark. $935 is too much for my budget. Is this a reasonable quote?

          This is the damage:

          And here's detailed quote:

They will be paying another shop to remove the windshield and install it later, though.

Anyway, any other body shop recommendations?

You can achieve the same result by having the same quality repair man, off site, that will match your budget.

Haurys is one of the more expensive places North of Seattle. You can likely find a place cheaper

Any pointers to a less expensive shop?

                  Bump.

And a question: is there a way to stop or slow down the rust cancer while I'm looking for new fenders and am saving up for a paint job? I think I'll be doing it in summer, and I might as well wait with rust repair till then.

Check out Godspeed Fabrication in Auburn or Fleury's Auto Body in Crown Hill.

Just buy a new shell for $200 and then pay some poor r3v fuck $300 to swap all the parts over.

                          Yea right.

Except for this rust spot the shell is in good shape. I want to keep it and make it pretty.

Ok, after talking to Robb from Godspeed Fabrication I decided to take it to his shop. Will post "after" pictures and how much it cost.

I'm sure you got a much cheaper deal, but hopefully they are just replacing the cowl like the original quote rather than trying to fabricate something to go in there. ~$1000 seemed reasonable to me for what the job is if you know it is going to be done professionally. Now... whether or not it is worth it to have that done on an e30 is a whole other question. I'd say you went the right route finding someone else... and if they can do it even nearly as well as Haury's, then you scored.
