    Introduction: Silvertip

Even though I've already posted a bit around here, I wanted to do the ritual introduction shebang anwyay.

My name is Dmitry, I live in Seattle (Greenwood) and I am a senior at UW this year, hoping to graduate in spring.

I bought the e30 in October after being obsessed with e30s for like, a month after I sold my motorcycle. I needed a new toy/money pit.

I bought her because of good running M42 and very clean interior. It needed new struts, diff, and clutch. And also an ignition switch. My friend, a former Mercedes technician agreed to repair the car since I have neither the tools nor a garage to work on it now. Right now the essential repairs are over and she is my daily.

She still needs some work done. Electrical stuff, like not working rear windows, a speaker not working, and crazy dash cluster - I can probably fix myself. I'm planning to redo the bushings in spring/summer.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi, and introduce myself. I want to attend one of the meetups some time soon - or maybe even organize one here for folks from the neighborhood. Is there anything coming up soon? I know I missed one yesterday in South Center, but I couldn't make it.

Price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. I repeat: price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. That's Vagiclean. We've got a customer down here with a full-on fallopian fungus. I'm baking a loaf of bread and I think it's sourdough.

                  Welcome!

Your rear window issue is likely the little breaker switch in the center console.

I will be checking it out some time soon. There's a lot of soldering to be done soon... Speedo sensor on the diff, speaker wiring to the amp, and probably reflowing the dash cluster PCB. Also possible temperature sensor replacement. But I'm really excited to get started on this stuff :)

Thank you! Regarding the lip... I think I'll try to get an "is" one, where did you get yours? I see them for ~$85 on ebay, but maybe there's a better/cheaper way to get them.

When you buy a new lip, buy new mounting clips too.
