Removed my wheel, removed/disassembled cluster, replaced ODO gears, deleted inspection light bar, replaced all the old bulbs, reassembled, polished plastic to perfect clarity.... then dropped the whole thing on the floor. AAARGH!!! Plastic face is cracked, tabs are broken off. So I need a new cluster, or at least the case and I can swap over my instruments. Anyone know if VDO and Motometer clusters are interchangeable?
MOTHERF#@&^%!!! Final step in the project: destroy the part you were fixing.

I believe I Have a surrounding case (no internal instruments) someplace around here. I recall it being in particularly good shape (plastic cover was scratched), but I don't think the tabs were broken or anything. I'll see if I can't find it after work today or this weekend and snap some pictures for you. I'm in Ballard, so not the shortest trip, but not the longest one either :)-------------------------------------------------
