                    Something really suspicious about the auction. Look at the bid history - half the bidders have 0 feedback, and this was the only item they bid on.

                    Someone internally was shell bidding and running up the auction amount; not hard to do if control the domain name, you can create as many email address you want/need for ghost accounts.. Highly inflated price is suspect. Wouldn't put it past them..

                        After I saw the closing price I wondered if someone had intentionally pushed the price up to do just what you observed. Sad that things play out this way.
