    Bummer of a day

My e30 has been sitting at my parents house for a few months now. I pulled the battery so it wouldn't die from sitting...stuck the battery back in thinking I just turn the key but nope, she wouldnt fire up =( tested the fuel pump by jumping it and it worked. Didn't have time to test for spark. But yeah that was a buzz kill. It's gotta be something simple but damn, dont u just love tracing this shit down lol

I read there's a dime fuse near the battery also? I'll try to check that out. It's an 88is if u have any suggestions

    Does it crank?
Could be as simple as ground connection.
Mine didn't start after sitting outside for a month in October because the tabs holding the ignition switch to steering rack housing broke off - brittle plastic in cold weather. So effectively I wasn't shorting the starter.

    Good luck!

yes, it cranks over. i jumped 87 and 30 on the fuel pump relay and the pump goes. cranks over, didn't have time to check for spark. it was already dark last night when i was trying to get her started. i didn't get to check if the fuel pump was working as i cranked it over, but i jumped the relay and tried cranking but she still didn't start.

        Check your crank position sensor.

oh man that is a bummer!

Here's a list of essentials to check in order for the car to start. I created this list when I was going through a no start situation similar to you with my PRO3 build. If everything checks out, some more head scratching will have to occur, potentially a bad DME.

Exactly ^ start there. Had a similar issue with my 87is a couple years ago.

Pull your lower fuel line on your rail off, check if fuel is getting there. Take off plug wires check if spark is getting to them. Pop open your intake system make sure nothing is in there. Also check your coil, dist cap, rotor. Then check your cps and ecu
