Anyone with half a brain could have fixed this car for >400 dollars. Kid is just looking for excuses, why did he even bother asking us if he should part it? He obviously didn't intend on fixing it

It will live on in other cars, and probably as a pro3 car later, several pro3 guys showed interest in the shell once I have parted what I want off it. I talked to a few of you and you know why it would have been expensive to register now.

What I want to know is within less than 2 years this kid has well over 2700 post and didn't learn anything about how to figure out to fix the issue...

Or even figure out whether he should part or not... Asking noob questions.

What I don't understand is why did he even ask everyone's opinion. Could have passed it on to someone who would actually take care of it and fix the MINOR issues.. Plenty of people willing to offer him what he had in to it. Instead, greed is going to destroy another perfectly usable E30.

The shell will not be scrapped, plenty of people interested in the shell to use for another track car.

If OP lacks motivation to fix the car, how far will he get parting it? Parting a car is a painful process that requires a ton of space and you will always end up with useless parts that you either give away or recycle/throw away. If you try and part it you will eat that 900 dollars, fix the car up and resell it or just fix it and drive it.
