I need to sell my E28 project, it is actually two cars that I have been planning to combine into one nice driver. Of course this can't happen now that I am moving out of the shop and far away. I want to sell both cars together, I feel like they aren't worth much without each other.
1988 Alpine II 535iS
This was my brothers car, we had big plans for it. Not too long after he had it, he ended up wrecking the front end in the early morning ice. I bought it from him to use as a parts car for my project. It was in decent condition, with a surprisingly nice red sport leather interior, the power seats still work great. Only damage is a couple tears on the drivers bolsters. Carpet, door panels are in great condition. 5 spd. trans worked great. Still has the limited slip, rear spoiler is gone, front spoiler is there but busted pretty good. Right before the wreck we just had the head gasket done, so it has a freshly machined cylinder head and other new parts. Starts and runs great. Doesn't drive, it is missing the driveline. I have a clean title in hand for this.
1986 Delphin 535i
This was my car, I bought it a long time ago and had all kinds of plans for it but as usual they never happened. Some made this into an iS clone with the front and rear spoilers, and LSD. Tan interior was ragged, so I had started to remove it. Body is in great shape though, except the drivers fender has some wrinkles in it. Engine is nice, starts up and runs well. Auto trans works, but is dying. The car will drive, I just wouldn't recommend taking it long distance with the trans going out. I did drive it home from Gresham. Comes on 16''b style 5's with nearly new tires. Looks pretty neat, it is lowered on some sort of cut springs and blown shocks, courtesy of the previous owner. Clean title for this as well
The goodies:
I have a stack of boxes that go with these two cars, most everything you will need to assemble one into greatness. I have a brand new set of Bilstein sports, brand new Spax springs which were difficult to get ahold of, brand new brake rotors and pads, sensors, new top mounts for the front and rear, probably more I am forgetting. I also have a good condition front subframe and some control arms to throw in. I can also include a set of 5x120 wheels with good snow tires for the back of the car.
My plan was always to swap all the nice red and black interior over into my Delphin car, I think it would look so killer. Swap the 5 spd trans in, build a custom exhaust, have all the suspension powdercoated, new bushings, etc. Now I need someone else to take over the project. I realize it is difficult to store 2 complete cars, but if you bust ass for a weekend you can get the white car stripped down and scrap the shell. Wouldn't really take that long to assemble the grey car into a complete running car either.
Cars are located in Sherwood, for the right price I am happy to help with the delivery. Asking price for both cars + all the parts is $2800 OBO
