This was going to be the 10 year old man project that I worked on when I wasn't knitting wool blankets. I've decided I'd rather have garage space and some money in the bank.
$1000
It comes with boxes and boxes of spare parts that have been collected by the last couple of owners that have passed this thing around. It's a long list of parts and is best just to be seen in person.
Here's what I know about the car's history. The car was bought new and imported by Tracie Jackson (as shown in the door). The next known owner (and last registered owner) is Rob Torres of the 2002 Haus in SLO. When I contacted him about the car he told me the following:
Joe Funk is the Joe mentioned. Joe is a familiar name in the Portland area BMW crowd. Somewhere between Joe and the guy I bought it from, the Zender body kit was removed, with the euro bumpers and the Recaros.
As for the motor, I know nothing of its condition or running state. I was planning on putting a M20B23 back into it, that I have since sold as a part of my sell off of goods. The M20B27 has a tranny bolted to it, that like the motor, I have no information on its condition.
This is my part it out and scrap it value price. I will ignore any offers for less.
I am looking for a clean E21 323i hardtop or 320is. I have this to trade with some cash on top for those who may be interested.

Thank you for the note! The 323i Baur TC was one of my personal cars that was owned for about 6 years.
It was originally sold new in CA. It was then taken to CO then brought back here. I purchased it from a gent in Los Angeles around 1999/2000. The memory fades after a while.
While under my ownership the timing belt broke on the original engine. The cyl. head was also found to be cracked once the engine was dismantled. The block unfortunately has been lost to time. I sold it to a couple of gents from Portland - Boone and Joe. They transported it up there from here in SLO. When sold I kept the original 3.45 LSD and that diff. is in our Tii Touring. The car also orignally had a 4-speed transmission which was sold last year.
I had installed the M20B28 (it is actually an 88 Super eta) and 5 speed transmission with the plan of putting it back on the road with that configuration. I knew that driving it with the 2.3 was fun - the 2.8 would be even better! As projects go sometimes it did not come to fruition.
It is good to know that it is an enthuiasts hands and will be brought back to life.
I will look forward to staying in touch and learning of your progress.
PS - I do still also have the original intake manifold, fuel distributor/air filter assembly, fuel lines and timing belt covers for the original engine.
