In that case, maybe i'll bring mine out. Would definitely be a more comfy ride down there in the iX than the stripped out coupe. Hmmmmmmm...

So, I'm planning on taking away the restriction that only allowed people to buy admission for one of the days. That means if you have signed up for Saturday, that you could buy a spot for Sunday as well since we have a handful of spots available. Anyone interested in this option?1998 M3 Cabriolet (Estoril, Hardtop, Vaders, Dinan Stage 5, M50 Mani, Eisenmann Exhaust, UUC Pulley & SSK, Reiger Body Kit, 19" Staggered Axis Pentas, Momo Steering Wheel & Shift Knob)

Hello everyone, I've recently heard that there are some fires happening in Goldendale, WA. I don't forsee this having an effect on our use of the Loops Road. I've only spoke to the receptionist at the Maryhill Museum (I have an email in to our primary event contact) and she said that the fires are quite a distance from the Loops Road and that they should get anywhere close to us.
I suppose that with it being wildfire season and this one in Goldendale, that it certainly wouldn't be a bad idea to grab a fire extinguiser if you have one. Always good to be well prepared.
However, I did read recently that Hwy 97 was closed between Goldendale and Toppenish. This means that if anyone was planning on coming from the Seattle area and going through Yakima to Toppenish through Goldendale to get to the Loops Road, that it might be a better choice to simply come down I-5 and then East on I-84.
So, as far as I know, the show WILL go on and we'll have a great time at the road. It looks like the weather is going to be a little milder than in past years. So far the high temps are forcasted to stay below 90, so that will be nice.
Also, last year there was a question about the fountain at the top of the hill. My contact at the Museum said that they do not consider it "safe" drinking water. It is fed by a spring, but there's no assurance that it's clean and pure. That said, I guess many do and have drank from it but it's certainly at your own risk. Bring water, and I will be buying 4 cases to bring up so the club will have a lot of good water on hand.
Looking forward to a fun weekend,
Trayson

a bit windy? In the Columbia Gorge?
But seriously, my car heats far better than it cools me off. I'd be happier at 50degrees and sunny than at last years egg-cooking temperature.
If I still lived in the Gorge I'd totally be down for doing Sunday as well. Alas, I now live in Seattle and need to be back rather early in the evening.
If anyone else is on the fence, DO IT! You can't possibly regret doing this event.-------------------------------------------------

Yeah, I got to DRIVE that shiz!!! only put it REALLY sideways once, but I recovered nicely!
Also had a couple others handing me the keys. An E36 M-coupe and a 330 ZHP. And took a ride up in a Lotus.
During a run on Saturday, I felt what seemed like some hesitation of missing. Then later, my car would NOT idle. It would die if I let off the gas. It was tricky getting it around Saturday evening. That night, we were searching around with a flashlight and found I blew the hose that connects the intake elbow to the ICV. Makes sense.
The hose was a reducer, and I blew the 1" end and no way the 3/4" section was going to fit over the ICV. One of our members stopped and got me some hose and I was able to get it fixed before lunch time..
But this damn hose almost ruined my weekend:

The only video that I got from the weekend was when I was riding shotgun in a 2005 Lotus Elise.
