Chrome removal in PDX area.

Bought some DS2s for my M3 and they have a nasty peeling chrome finish on them. Sand blaster isint doing anything so is there anywhere I can take them to have it stripped off?

Might call a local powdercoating place and see if they have a recommendation for a place that does chroming and chrome stripping (or maybe they can do it themselves.) Prepare to spend about $75 a wheel or so.

Ya these have some corrosion under the peeling as well but its mostly in places you wont see. I have a little curb repair I want to do then I will have them powdercoated.

Usually costs more than it is worth. EPA has tightened the noose on anything chrome related. Let us know the final cost. I would love to have the option of chrome removal.

Try American Metal Cleaning (503-283-1046) located over by jubitz. They did a good job on my non-chrome wheels for $42/wheel.

I may be able to pickle them at work but Id be worried about the acid eating the alloy before the chrome. Depends what's softer.
