anyone on the west side of Portland have this socket I can borrow for a day or two? heard the socket alone was like 30$ so asking first if anyone has it and would be willing to share it for a day or 2 so I can repair her over the weekend, she'd really like it!! hahahaha

For a Getrag 260 you need a 30mm or a 1 3/16" socket.
I found one at the local parts store in the special tools section.
It was labeled as an 02 sensor socket and was about $7.

you need a thin wall one, but i just got a heavy duty impact one and grinded down the tip so its shallow only where it needs to be. works great!

im not sure if its a 260 getrag or not if it isn't would I need a different socket size?

The 02 sensor sockets are thin wall and deep well, it worked perfectly.
Year and model might help with transmission ID or you can measure the nut if you have access to it.

get under the car and just look. whether if its a 240, 260, or anything else---it will be stamped into the side of the trans.

I just bought a cheap socket and ground down the outer part until it was thin enough
