    Maryhill Video

I thought some of you might enjoy seeing what Maryhill looks like from a few inches off the concrete.

    Nice quality 720i video.

    Poorer quality youtube addition.

    Location: Maryhill (closed course)
Why: BMW CCA Oregon chapter rented it out and hosted an amazing event!
Filmed with: GoPro Hero2, cheap lapel mic mounted at the intake
    Car: E30 with stock M20

Let me know if I was wrong, and y'all don't enjoy this at all ;)

If any of you in the NW ever get a chance to do Maryhill, either with BMW CCA or other, you must take the opportunity!

Was this from the mount on top of your bumper? Amazing sound quality, don't hear too much wind shockingly lol

Edit: Would help if I didn't get too overly excited and actually READ the OP.....

Edit Edit: Awesome job Tyler! :D

I stuck a second mount under my bumper, so that's the view from the oil cooler. The built in GoPro mic is difficult at best to put a windscreen around. An external mic like the one I used, even though cheap, can have any sort of foam wrapped around it you desire to prevent the wind from being picked up.

The downside to that location is that you only ever hear the engine growl at full throttle. Apparently 3/4 throttle doesn't let enough sound through. It just makes it sound like I'm at WOT or not touching the pedal, when really I'm back on throttle and feathering it the entire way around those corners.

Go for it. So that nothing gets doubled up, both Jon and John also have that footage (and a bit more) for their Marhill montage videos. But you're welcome to use it as well if you have something else in mind!

Looks and sounds great, nice work. Love the feel and sound of a nice-running stock m20. Wish I'd been there with my e28.
