Evergreen State College?

    Evergreen State College?

    Does anyone here go to the Evergreen State College? Or, did anyone go to school there?

    I'll be starting there in a couple of weeks, studying Computer Science. I'm moving up there this week. I just graduated from PSU this last spring, so I'll be getting my second Bachelors from Evergreen. It looks like it will be a much better school than PSU.

    What area are you moving to? I'm going to TCC but evergreen is close to where I live.

      I can't imagine them being taken seriously with "narrative evaluations" rather than grades. I know there's a conversion, but it's so subjective it's pointless. I've never met anyone at Boeing, or the commercial insurance industry, who went there.

        That would make them proud. I don't judge it either way but it's an arts/liberal arts school, you'd be an idiot to go there if your goal is to succeed in the commercial insurance industry.

          Understandable, but usually the goal of college is to get a decent career, I used the two areas I've been apart of, and Boeing has a big impact in Washington so sorry I related it to real life and careers.

            I have 4 friends who graduated from Evergreen after studying Computer Science/Engineering there and they all work as Software Engineers/Architects at Intel. One of them is even living in Ulm, Germany after transferring there with Intel. I've worked at Intel both as an intern and contractor for the last 7 years and been around the Intel environment for longer. My boyfriend also works at Intel as a Software Engineer (he went to DeVry), so we both know that, it usually doesn't matter what school you went to, just as long as you have a technical degree and the skills to show for it.

              I'm going to live with a friends parents in Puyallup for this Fall term, and then I'll move in with my friend at his house in Olympia.
