Engine ran awesome, no leaks, previous owner told me compression test was ~145psi across all 4.
Black leather comfort interior on brilliantrot
Clean title
Have taken off all the accessories in an effort to replace the timing chain guides (they need to be replaced with updated nylon guides from BMW)
Front upper timing cover, coil packs, alternator, lower oil pan, and associated parts have been removed, cleaned and need to be reinstalled before the car runs again. That’s all it needs to run, but there’s plenty of other things that could be done with the car. Remember, its 22 years old.
Remanufactured stock steering rack
Driver’s seat is very broken, will probably need to be replaced, it’s also very torn. Otherwise interior is in decent shape considering mileage.
Brakes worked well when I used them, pedal was stiffer than my last e30. E-brake works fine as well.
Clutch felt good.
Grinding when downshifting into 2nd gear, hence the spare transmission (I assume the syncros are completely gone).
Basket weaves with Caps are pretty clean, will probably need new tires soon.
Muffler had a leak so it wasn’t quiet.
Wiring and the rest of the car was completely stock, I was quite surprised when taking things apart, it was just extremely dirty
Front fenders and hood were repainted at some point (but no visible damage? I’m a little baffled on this one)
Stock paint is flaking in places, had is pretty faded on the roof and trunk.
Spare parts:
Transmission from 185k parts car
New replacement transmission bolts
Z3 short shift kit
Stainless steel skid plate designed for this engine (helps with lowered cars)
New water pump, gaskets
New oil pan gaskets
New misc. gaskets
New timing cover gaskets
New throttle body/intake gaskets
New radiator hoses
New secondary cooling lines
New timing chain tensioner
New tie rods
New rear shocks
Tub skid of 6 cyl 325i parts from my old car (intake, engine harness, etc.)
Fog lights with replacement glass/hardware (and yellow Lamin-X)
Coil-on-plug bracket w/ hardware (awesome upgrade to original ignition system, but still have all the stock stuff too)
The car obviously needs lots of work, but has tons of spare parts, could easily be parted for the price I’m asking, or flipped if you had the time/put in the effort. I thought I’d be living at my current place longer, but since I’m moving my new place doesn’t have room. I feel bad about the car, but I need it gone before I move next weekend. If you sort out the towing, I’m very negotiable on the price.
Here's an album with the worst parts of the car, can take more if you're interested: http://imgur.com/a/dIrLu
