In Portland with no place to stay

Anyone know where to stay around Portland?
I decided to hitch a ride with a buddy to Portland, Oregon without realizing he didn't have a place for us to stay for the weekend. He's visiting a friend but we can't stay at her place. We're both pretty broke college students and need help finding a place to stay. Any hints and suggestions would be appreciated.
And yes, we're young and stupid.

Oh man...If I weren't married with a kid and one more on the way...I'd totally say crash on my couch. That said, there might be some hostels here??? Worst case, there's always Motel 6 or Super 8 on the east side near the airport. Guessing you can get something for under $60/night.

There are a fuckton of breweries around here... In addition to Rogue, there's HUB, Deschutes, Portland Brewing, and more that I can't remember off the top of my head.

If you wanna hike or something, go walk around Hoyt Arboretum/Forest Park, because it's rad as fuck in there.

If you want to ride tiny bikes down a big hill with ridiculous people, you could go borrow a bike from Zoobomb. There's a pyle chained to a post at SW 13th & Burnside. Every Sunday, there at 8PM.

Why would you not go to a hostel? No better way to pick up some adventurous ladies. Oh, the stories.....

Couple things to look out for.
                    Voodoo donuts
Powels book store (awesome place, decent auto section)

If you're around on a Wednesday and can grab/borrow some longboards, go over to Mount Tabor, they close car access to the roads in the park specifically for bikers/longboarders. Afterwards grab something to eat at the Bipartisan Cafe.

My favorite place to grab a couple brews so far has been The Green Dragon in Portland. They don't brew beer themselves, but they have a metric shitton of good taps. Plus, being able to say you got a beer at the Green Dragon is all kinds of literary nerd fun.
