I need S50 help: not running right.

Can anyone in the PNW come help me with my S50 swap? It's all in and I've been driving it for a while, but it's starting to take a crap on me. At throttle it does nothing; bounces around 500 RPM or so. I've checked MAF, ECU, Vacuum Leaks, etc. Someone have any advice or is available to come look at it soon?

More info on the issue? By bouncing around do you mean an unsteady Idle? Or it just won't go over 500RPM period?

What is your gas tank breather hose hooked up to? I had mine hooked to the intake tube and it was drawing too much vacuum on the tank making it run like ass, especially at idle and on a full tank of fuel.

Just a thought since I made that mistake, Good Luck!

          Does "at throttle"=idle? GL

Mine is just blocked off, I put a hose and a bolt hose clamp over it, but it ran fine before.

At throttle means when I apply pressure to the gas. I could have it at full throttle and randomly it'll just bog down and want to die.

The bouncing is just between 500 and 850 RPM give or take. It's at idle, so yeah a pretty unstable idle I'd say; sounds bad.

UPDATE: I unplugged the o2 sensor and the weird full throttle power loss went away, so looks like I just need an o2 sensor. But this idle problem is still here.

Not necessarily the 02 sensor. Plug the 02 sensor back in and unplug the MAF and see if it changes then, too. If so, it means something in that system is bad (coolant temp sensor for DME, MAF, 02 sensor, etc.)
