Not really e30 related, but figured I'd throw it out here. I'm picking up a Mini Cooper in SF in 2 weeks and driving up along the PCH. While in Oregon, any good spots I should check out?

i bought my 318is exactly 5 years ago and it was a good drive up from SF to pdx to sea.
are you going to drive the 101 up oregon too? not that I-5 is interesting, but a lot of that drive along 101 on the oregon coast isn't particularly great this time of year. A good chuck of the oregon portion isn't even along the coast. the best parts of the PCH are between LA and SF.
i'd drive up the 101/1 from SF, hit arcata and stay for the night and then drive north to crescent city and then over to I-5 for the rest of the drive back. or keep driving north past crescent city and go inland to portland when you hit otis, OR. -
Planning to hug the coast until I'm directly West of PDX. Open to driving inland for attractions. Planning to take time hiking in the redwoods, so not just driving. So I'm open to attractions.Comment

Make sure you drive hwy 1, it takes you almond the coast when hwy 101 starts to go more inland.Comment

101 in nice between Eureka and Port Orford. Past that it's mostly a drive in the trees with glimpses of the ocean from time to time.Comment
