    Dynasport!

Once upon a time I bought an E28:

As it was my first RWD manual car with and LSD, I decided to fuck around too much and destroyed the clutch:

And after a series of unfortunate events involving someone flaking out in the middle of the clutch replacement, the car ended up on jackstands, in pieces, almost forgotten for 40 weeks:

And then I took it to these guys:

And not only did he have the car put together in less than a business day, but he did it for much cheaper than expected. And now I have it back on the road and can rip the E21 apart for its M20B25 swap.

Once again, Ryan and the folks at Dynasport have won me over. It's really rare to find a shop that is honest, quick, accurate, and well-priced. Bravo gentlemen! :buttrock

Build thread for your M20/E21 build? Kudos for the shop shoutout. Good work and service is so hard to find nowadays.

I've seen some good work by those guys!

I don't about a build thread. I'm going the lazy way and paying a shop to do it. And it's just going to be a bone stock m20b25. Eventually I'll put a cam, Miller MAF and chip on it. But, the bump from 100 hp to 160 hp should keep a smile on my face for awhile. And as a stock M20 may sound boring in an E30, remember that the E21 323i weighs 2447 lbs (and the M20B23 weighs close to 50-75 lbs more because of K-jet crap). Which as my car will sit, will be around 2350 lbs with driver (I'm working on shaving down the weight of that too ;) ), compared to a 325i with driver being around 2750 lbs (2600+150lbs driver). That's 17% less weight, which should directly relate to how much more power there is, as that how much less load is on the engine. So, 17% of 160 is 27. Not too bad methinks.

Ryan is a great PRO3 driver. I always feel comfortable being inches or less away from him. Some of my funnest side by side moments were against him!

I had fun painting his pro3 car several years ago.

Bummed me out when I heard it was wrecked.

That's racing. They rolled their Bronzit E28 Chumpcar too. It's got to be rad to build things for driving hard and to the limit. And sometimes over the limit.

Hopefully I can tag along and start getting some photo/video of them racing.

I had a gig across the street from these guys once, and after admiring one of the 2002s parked out front, I was thinking about having my mom take her mini cooper to them for repairs. Good to hear that they do good work.
