I'm not sure how a CompTIA certification for a PC repair, network support and server support business is relevant to the work you need done. Especially since that is worth WAY MORE than $25 an hour.

      Free bump.

Robert always seems to do this.. 99% of mechanics will not come to you to work on a project unless they are backyard mechanics..

I'm curious- specifically, what's the project?

I went to the customer for a side job once, only to find a complete disaster of a basket case. I buttoned it up anyways, per the customers request. Camshaft snapped 2 months later. That happens when you leave the car outside, with no hood, and no valley pan, for a month. Cam bearings tend to wash out and rust. The guy understood, and it wasn't an issue, and I got paid nonetheless, but still, ridiculous.

Another guy threw a brick through my cars windshield after he had a completely unrelated problem months later (I fixed something on his 20 year old rusted out escort for $30, so he could pass inspection). I couldn't prove it was him, so I had to eat the cost of the windshield (which was much more than the $30 I made from the guy).

After that I just stopped doing side jobs. Too many wacko's, with complete basket-case projects, unrealistic expectations, and not enough money for the headache.

No offense OP. I'm sure you are levelheaded and just want to make a deal with someone that works for both of you. I have had too many bad experiences with nut jobs.

Geez why all the hate? Robert owns a small dealership and has an apparent soft spot for E30 project cars…
