Stolen BBS RS reps

It seems to me that the job was done by someone who had been following you for awhile, perhaps someone in the same school or a neighbor. They knew exactly where the car was parked at, and knew that the area was not well patrolled.
Can't you ask for help to those with Security Cameras? Everyone has them know. And you know the date/time when the wheels were removed. Maybe they used a pick up truck. Just saying.
Go and get some nice wheels now. And use lock nuts.Leave a comment:

Thanks man, I really hope so too.
Any recommendations on what brand to buy? I'm definitely going to put locks on my wheels now, even if its just for basketweavesTip - the discount tire "locking" bolts can be taken off with a standard 17mm socket. Don't waste your money on those.
Also, if you can, pick up an extra key or two for safe keeping in areas where they wont get lost. Not being able to find the wheel key can ruin your whole day.Leave a comment:

Definitely going to invest in some of these. I'm even a little afraid someone might steal the basketweaves i just put on. Did you just purchase the locking nuts from a BMW dealership?Yep !!!! go buy some factory BMW wheel locks. I put them on every BMW i buy. Its worth the $40.00 and the piece of mind. And OP sorry for your loss bro. When you get new wheels,go buy locks. When they see them they will just walk by,its not worth the effort to them at that point. They are looking for a quick steal with little to no effort put into it.Leave a comment:

I've got the same set. Even came with some "Dummy" caps to cover the wheel locks, so they look like normal wheel bolts.Leave a comment:

I have never had a problem in the 14 years i have used them on my BMW you see in my pic . ;) I have had real and rep BBS wheels,2 sets of ACS wheels,LTW D-force wheels and no problems.Leave a comment:

It's just a keyed bolt and they probably make 5-10 variations of the key.Leave a comment:

Do factory BMW wheel locks all have individual keys, I need something that no one else has a key too.Leave a comment:

This. I couldn't have said it better myself.
Such shittiness. Makes me nervous that somebody's gonna steal my shitty curbed-up BBS reps and leave me stranded.
I should buy a few security lug nuts...Leave a comment:

Originally posted by CCCXXVisVery sorry to hear your wheels were stolen, I have a set of 14" basket weaves with wheel locks, not that anyone would want them. I just want to be able to drive home! Really breaks my heart that people have to act in this manner. When I was a child I thought the world would be a better place, I am very disappointed. Still won't change how I act towards others, we all pretty much want the same thing, I just wish that people would work, save their money and buy the things they want, I can't understand why people would live this way, constantly looking over their shoulder.
A good friend of mine asked how these people sleep at night, I replied they sleep just fine, they just don't care.
I believe in karma, they'll get theirs and most likely ten fold.
Again, sorry to hear this, keep the faith!
CheersThanks guys, I'm thinking that someone was probably scoping out the wheels for awhile.
I hadn't thought about that, I don't think it's going on another e30 though because there was more money in car parts sitting on the floor of my car at the time than the reps were worth. Someone was really in it just for the wheels, they even left all 4 spacers and 2 out of the 4 hub-rings hahaLeave a comment:

I'm also very sorry to hear man, and i agree with this guy, Honda and others cars use a stud and nut combo if im not mistaken so taking lug nuts means its going on a BMW or something similar.Leave a comment:

Also, i don't see any wheel bolts in the pics, there's very few reasons to take them.Leave a comment:
