The police weren't much of a help. There were no security cameras in that parking lot (no idea how that's possible). UW isn't concerned about parking lot safety at all.

It seems to me that the job was done by someone who had been following you for awhile, perhaps someone in the same school or a neighbor. They knew exactly where the car was parked at, and knew that the area was not well patrolled.

Go and get some nice wheels now. And use lock nuts.

Any recommendations on what brand to buy? I'm definitely going to put locks on my wheels now, even if its just for basketweaves

Definitely going to invest in some of these. I'm even a little afraid someone might steal the basketweaves i just put on. Did you just purchase the locking nuts from a BMW dealership?

I've got the same set. Even came with some "Dummy" caps to cover the wheel locks, so they look like normal wheel bolts.

It's just a keyed bolt and they probably make 5-10 variations of the key.

Do factory BMW wheel locks all have individual keys, I need something that no one else has a key too.

This. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Such shittiness. Makes me nervous that somebody's gonna steal my shitty curbed-up BBS reps and leave me stranded.

I should buy a few security lug nuts...

Really breaks my heart that people have to act in this manner. When I was a child I thought the world would be a better place, I am very disappointed. Still won't change how I act towards others, we all pretty much want the same thing, I just wish that people would work, save their money and buy the things they want, I can't understand why people would live this way, constantly looking over their shoulder.
A good friend of mine asked how these people sleep at night, I replied they sleep just fine, they just don't care.

I believe in karma, they'll get theirs and most likely ten fold.

Again, sorry to hear this, keep the faith!

    Cheers

Can you think of any shady acquaintances? Dude could be sitting right next to you.

This just doesn't seem random to me......
Thanks guys, I'm thinking that someone was probably scoping out the wheels for awhile.

I hadn't thought about that, I don't think it's going on another e30 though because there was more money in car parts sitting on the floor of my car at the time than the reps were worth. Someone was really in it just for the wheels, they even left all 4 spacers and 2 out of the 4 hub-rings haha
