Anyone install a top in their vert locally?

I'll be installing my new top in the next two three weeks. I was wondering if anyone has done it. I know there is a DIY on it, but it would be nice to do it with someone that's already done it. Looks sorta difficult on the diy.
I would be willing to pay if you want. No beer at the house tho.

I've done a few. It's really self explanatory. Just a little time consuming getting the shims for the bottom of the frame in place.

I did one. It was not really easy but I wasn't in my own garage so that didn't help. I'd be willing to give you a hand depending on the day.

Did one over the winter. Not hard just takes time and thought. I used 3m contact cement from the hardware store.

I also used 3m contact cement. Be sure to get both the kind that you can spray on and the kind that you can brush on.

Are you installing new canvas on to the frame, or a whole new frame in to the car?

I talked with the paint guy and my car should be done saturday.. I know the day of the picnic! :hitler::hitler:

Depending on the condition of the car after paint, i want to try and make the picnic if i can get my e36 rack installed that same day and a couple other things taken care of.

I was wondering if one of you guys is not going to the picnic to be able to help out sunday if the car is not going to be able to make it to the picnic?
