Welcome. You should look for the Dicks Meets on Tuesday (Duesday) in Seattle.

thanks guys !! anyone know about 2.7L strokers and how to tell how it was done , im not sure what to look for , i have looked at the head its 2.7 but not sure how to identify the block and know whats going on ...because i have a loud lifter wondering if it would be worth doing a valve adjust or just leave it because it doesn't smoke or it could hurt it ? dont know crap about this motor ...

Your best bet is to search the forum in the M20 section. Probably a lot of information there ... you just have to search for it.

Adjusting valves is part of routine maintenance. You won't hurt it if you do it correctly and smoking is irrelevant.

Please use punctuation correctly. When you checked the clearances, did you notice any mushroomed valve stems? Are all the eccentrics in the correct orientation? Those are the two most common reasons to why you'd have one that is louder (assuming all the clearances are set to spec)
