    WTB: Heater core, near Seattle

My car puked its heater core everywhere. Anyone have a good one for sale?

My car has the aluminum pipes, with the paired inlet.

    Thanks,
    -Peter

Buy a new one if you can. Avoid used heater cores like the plague. Should be less than $100.

This. No point in doing the same job over again in the near future.

            You're right.

She said when it happened that it was coming out of the top vents (she had the fan on high). That doesn't seem possible to me. Has that happened to anyone else?

That doesn't seem possible, as the core is almost the lowest part in the heater box, and the blower is the uppermost part. Unless it was a steamy mist... I also thought there were two drain holes in the box that are supposed to drain out the bottom through the transmission "tunnel"?

Yeah, there are two drains at the bottom of the box. One right in front of the shifter, and another on the left side of the box.

It must have been a light steam/mist or something coming out the top. Any liquid was dumped onto the floor.

The parts house (not including my shop discount). Online is around $120 or so.
