    M50 swap master wanted

looking for someone in the area who wants to come out to Camas (i don't live in the boonies, i live right off of HWY 14) and help out with my M50 swap.

basically i'm a lazy bastard, and my car has been up on jacks in the process for months. but that ain't gonna cut it anymore, because i'm moving soon, and an engineless, and/or non-running car is not an option.

i'm looking only for someone who has done the swap before, really. preferably with the stock booster, as that's what i'm doing, and that's where i'm at in the process. so i'm looking for someone who can save me time, as that is something of mine that is at a premium now.

the engine i'm putting in is already setup for the swap, it's an e34 m50vanos motor, and i have the e36 engine mount arms, with the m50 swap mounts from AKG. dude i bought the motor from already made the harness (lets hope to god he did it right, eh?) and threaded the coolant temp sensor.

since this will be more than a social gathering, and i'm actually looking to put in some work with you, i'm totally willing to compensate you for your time. buy your lunch, buy you your favorite beer. perhaps we can work out a booze for labor deal? i happen to have some hooch i'm not looking to ship across country. or, if none of that works, there's always the almighty dollar.

i'm available any time except for this weekend (farewell parties both days). i can take any days off of work i need to do get this done as soon as possible.

gimme a call or text if ya want...

Me and wishno87 have swaps ourselves, and have done/helped people swap. If were not busy we could swing by and help. We can workout any potential cost etc

Hell, I'll help too. I have no swap car to speak of but I'm fairly mechanically inclined.

Plus, meeting e30 people is always fun for me. Lol

Currently without an e30. Will probably die soon.

For the harness, as long as it was close to the same year as your car it should work. Also no need for rethreaded coolant temp sensor on OBD1 motors, thats only an issue on OBD2 heads. You just need a standard M20 one, it threads into the head without modification

many of us in the PDX/Couve area have done 24v swaps at least twice so feel free to post up questions in this thread
