    Lock strip tool

Was curious if anyone had a lock strip tool I could either borrow or buy off of. Need to replace rear window. All of the defrost lines are fubar. From previous owner removing tint.

Make one. Cut/bend a metal clothes hanger to a small triangle, then duct tape it to a screwdriver.

Forgive me Peter. Is the point of the triangle supposed to be up toward the screwdriver shank? --<I Or downward so it resembles an outline of a shovel? --l>

Resembles a shovel. The lock strip is in the shape of a triangle.

...can't the heating element be repaired? Or is it just as easy to have the glass replaced?

A guy I used to work with had pretty good luck using low temp solder to reflow the paths. But he would only do it on short breaks.

Amazon. Lisle 47000 windshield lock strip tool. Use liberal amounts of dish soap and a little water. Go slow its pretty easy. I think I paid $15 delivered.

Lock strip tool is cheap. Buy some Wurth silicone spray to make the job even easier.
