    PNW Opinions

    On 740's. Primarily the 1998-2001's. What are you guys' thoughts? I've been kind of toying with the idea of trying to off load most of the E30's and pick one up.

      Make sure you buy one that has lots of service history. I wouldn't even consider a non sport package car. Timing chains, heater cores and transmission issues are the common downfalls to that gorgeous car. I would love one someday, but the e34 does alright.

        That's my next bmw. Sport model as well. I love the mpars on the sport model. Staggered goodness.

          paging AAA325iS...he had an E38 with, I think, over 200k on the clock. He'd be the guy to ask about how they are. If I recall he never had any major issues with it.

                Nice looking car. Not a fan of the tan interior, but that's not a show stopper on that car.

                  That E38 looks nice. Always plan on $1000 for valve covers and upper timing case covers if it hasn't been done in the recent past. Any antifreeze by the belhousing is a bad valley pan. Those and rear ballpoints are the things to look for.
