Want to rent EVAP smoke test machine (Albany OR)

I'm trying to diagnose my car's rough idle and hesitation problems, and I suspect it's a vacuum leak. Does anyone have a smoke machine I could use/rent around the Albany or Corvallis area?

That is a very expensive tool to just loan out. Why not have a shop smoke it for you ? Half hour diag at most

Or, you could just replace all your vacuum lines and be done with it. That, and your oil filler cap gasket.

Smoke test it yourself. Do a search for cigar smoke test BMW. I ended up making one for the price of a cheap cigar.

Yea you need empty paint can, a glo plug wire, and mineral oil

You can also use resistance heat wire instead of a glo plug. It worked for me and it is safer IMO. You can get it at most hobby shops.
